Geochemistry Division Call for Symposia

Dear Colleagues,

The Geochemistry Division is seeking symposia proposals for the Geochemistry program at the upcoming Spring 2024 ACS Meeting (March 17-21 in New Orleans, LA). The meeting theme is "Many Flavors of Chemistry".

We are interested in symposia focused on both traditional and emerging areas of geochemistry including:

  • biogeochemistry

  • atmospheric geochemistry

  • permafrost geochemistry

  • computational modeling in geochemistry

  • critical mineral geochemistry

  • redox processes

  • resource extraction and recovery

  • critical zone science

  • permafrost geochemistry

Please contact us (https://www.acsgeoc.org/contact) with questions or for more information. Proposals are due by June 26, 2023 and must be emailed to Lynn Katz (lynnkatz@mail.utexas.edu). Late submissions may be considered. Proposals should include:

  • Title of the proposed symposium

  • A brief description of the symposium

  • Name, affiliation, and contact information of the organizer(s)

  • Potential co-sponsoring divisions/programs
