ANL Post-doctoral Fellowship

Argonne is pleased to offer a new postdoctoral research opportunity in the Interfacial Processes Group of the Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division. The successful candidate will perform research on the structure and reactivity of mineral (i.e., silicate, carbonate, and oxide) surfaces during reaction with aqueous solutions.

The specific research will focus on, but not limited to, evolution of interfacial structure and chemistry under perturbation, such as changes in ion sorption structure and speciation at charged mineral surfaces and dissolution and (re)precipitation of sparingly soluble minerals, which are closely relevant to various geochemical processes occurring during energy production, contaminant transport and remediation, and geological carbon sequestration and utilization.
